Mt. Kalugong Kape-an/Cafe

food was great! you'd need to hike from the road through the cultural village which is in the forested area, up to the top via the rocky steps to reach the cafe, but yes it's worth it! they have a variety of food to choose from, would definitely go back for more :) the view of the strawberry farm and La Trinidad from this vantage point makes for an excellent place for taking photos, especially during sunset, unfortunately we weren't able to take any sunset photos since we got here lunchtime

This is definitely a must-visit when you are going for a short hike at Mt. Kalugong. Coming here needs patience and stamina, but when you arrive, it's definitely worth the effort. The Food: Guaranteed fresh ingredients, delectable and definitely authentic dishes that are worth the try! Wide range of menu from drinks to treats, baked goodies and meals, a lot of options to choose from! I cannot simplify this enough: その食べ物は美味しいい, das Essen ist lecker, the food is delicious, masarap yung pagkain, naimas diyay makan. Service: Although the service is a little bit slow sometimes, it's understandable since everything is prepared fresh (sometimes you'll hear them tenderizing the meat), as well as the drinks (e.g. fresh fruits), and also considering that there are a lot of people coming here, especially on the weekends. The staff are also patient and well-accommodating with all of their customers. Ambience: You can see almost the entirety of La Trinidad, and you could also catch the sunset here if you stay long enough. The cabin style architecture of this café is definitely special, almost everything is wood and tied close to the Cordilleran culture. The subtle music is also a plus, since you can balance hearing the sounds of nature and the people taking. But, if you really want to complete the vibe, they have an indoor hammock and a ukulele that you can use. As a regular customer: see you again, with our students.

For those hiking enthusiasts and food lovers, this cafe located at the crest of Mt. Kalugong with a great catch…the sweeping panoramic view of La Trinidad and its suburbs. Discovered this rustic ambience and warmth and friendly service while the chef introduces his food specialties and ice cream of the day. Aside from its delectable main menus and friendly service, the main highlight of our hiking trek to Mt. Kalugong was the million dollars views of central La Trinidad and Baguio City at a distance. Highly recommended cafe to go while strawberry picking and wandering around Benguet province.

Great view to sip hot coffee... Good ambiance. Ober all, i will return to the beautiful place. i enjoyed it. Further, the food has great amount of servings. So it is worth the price...

Loved the idea of hiking for about 2.5kms to have decent coffee and panoramic view experience. @kalugongkapean Mt. Kalugong Kape-an is a known destination for those people who want to visit a coffee shop atop and don’t want any extreme hike or haven’t really prepared themselves for it. Lattes here are pretty decent. Coffee doesn’t taste like burnt charcoal. After all, Benguet is one the main field where we source our Arabica beans. It’s a mortal sin tbh to have your beans scorched. Please Food is passable. I liked the Seafood Pasta in Black Sauce. Another sight to behold—it looks like furpets have invaded the place . Animal-watching is a thing here, believe me. IF you want to visit the place, prep your feet, shoes, and share your breathing techniques. Lowlanders dropout early here HAHAHA

This place is a 11/10 for me!! Absolutely making me fall in love with food and life of course coffee!! The breath taking view of whole La Trinidad from this place is so amazing, I wouldn't leave this place if only I could; but since we need to get back to other things, this place is definitely at the top of my list to visit soon, refresh and unwind from the hustles and bustles of the city. I personally loved it also that the cafe is pet-friendly and the whole village itself has a free tour guide cats and dogs which is one of the many reasons why I would love love to keep coming back to this place. Lastly, even if the place was located at the peak of the mountain, the prices of the menu are NOT OVERPRICED. I deeply appreciate that. I LOVE IT!! YOU SHOULD VISIT AND DON'T FORGET TO ORDER THE BLUEBERRY PIZZA!
